Gala Entertainment pioneered the distribution of Bollywood films in the North American theatrical market and is today a leading buyer, seller, and owner of Bollywood entertainment rights across all media and geographic territories.
With extensive experience in supplying Indian content to global markets, Gala’s library of hundreds of Bollywood films spans seven decades and includes rights for Video/DVD, Theatrical, Video-On-Demand, Pay-Per-View, Television, and Non-Theatrical markets. Titles included in the library include classics from renown filmmakers such as Satyajit Ray, Guru Dutt, Raj Kapoor, Gulzar, Dev Anand, Dilip Kumar, Amitabh Bachchan, Rajesh Khanna, Shakti Samanta, Hrishikesh Mukerjee, J. Om Prakash, Manmohan Desai, Nagi Reddi, and Basu Chaterjee.
Recently, Gala has acquired rights for various markets for the following Satyajit Ray classic films:

Also, for the first time in history, North American lovers of classic Indian films will soon be able to see a revival of some of the greatest films of the late Guru Dutt. The films to be released with restored 35mm prints, in Hindi with English subtitles are Pyaasa, Kaagaz Ke Phool, Mr. & Mrs. ‘55, Chaudvin Ka Chand, Aar Paar, and Sahib Bibi Aur Ghulam.
